Agho olwatuuka, Wankoko ni Waikoli baali ba mukwano.

Baali bali miraala n'enhonhi edhindi. Dhonadhona dhaali nga tidhiguluka.
Lulala endhala yagwa. Waikoli yali n'okutambula olugendo oluleeyi okufuna emere. Yaira nga akooye inho.

Waikoli yaakoba ati, "Wateekwa okubaagho engeri enhangu ey'okutambula!"
Enkeera bwebaazuuka, Wankoko yafuna ekidhuubo. Yatandiika okusoloza amooya ag'enhonhi edhindi agagwanga.

Yakoba ati, "Tugatungire ghalala kungulu okwamooya gaife. Katyo ekyo kiyinza okutwanguyizaaku entambula yaife."
Waikoli yenka neyali n'empiso ku kyalo ekyo, kale neyasooka okwetungiraku amooya. Yeekolerayo amawawa abiri nga gaboneka bulungi era yaaguluka ghaigulu wa Wankoko.

Awo Wankoko yeeyazika empiso aye bweyatungaku yaakoowa yaaleka agho empiso yaaja okutegekera abaanabe eby'okulya.
Aye enhonhi edhindi dhaali dhiboine Waikoli nga aguluka. Dhaasaba Wankoko yaadhaazika empiso dhoona dheekolera amawawa.

Awo eigulu lyaidhula enhonhi edhirikuguluka.
Enhonhi eyasembayo bweyaizaayo empiso, Wankoko yali nga azirawo.

Abaana be baatandiika okuzaanhisa empiso. Bwe baakoowa, baagireka mu mucanga.
Eiraku ku lunaku lwene olwo, Waikoli yaira. Yasaba empiso asobole okutunga amooya agaali gaseseetwike nga alikuguluka.

Wankoko yalingalingaku ku kabada, mwifumbiro ni kuliya. Aye nga empiso teboneka.
"Mpaamu olunaku lulala," Wankoko yeegayirira Waikoli. "Oidha kulongoosa amawawago oireyo kabiri onoonie emere."

Waikoli yairamu ati, "Lunaku lulala lwonka. Bwolemererwa okubona empiso yange, oidha kunsasulamu kalala kubwana bwo."
Waikoli bweyaira olwairirira, yayagaana Wankoko nga alikukwadhula mu mucanga aye nga azira mpiso. Agho Waikoli yaika mangu inho yaagema akaana ka Wankoko yaakatwala.

Okuva olwo, buli Waikoli lwaidha ayagaana Wankoko nga alikukwadhula mu mucanga, anoonia mpiso.
Wankoko bulilwabona kinsense eky'amawawa ga Waikoli nga akoba abaanabe ati, "Muveeyo eyo mu mucanga omukalu."

Abaana bairamu bati, "Tituli basirusiru. Twidha kulumuka."
